"A most peculiar gin", reads the advertising pitch, and everyone agreed. This is never giong to be everyone's tastes, and true to form, Ben and Alexander liked it, Ian didn't. He couldn't get a handle on it's botanicals - and unorthodox combination of rose petals and cucumber.
Mix it as a martini, and suddenly everyone is in agreement - this was the most popular cocktail gin. "A lovely burst of fresh cirus", said Ian, which goes to show the difference vermouth can make. "We all loved it", said Ben, "even though it was the last martini we tasted."
